Students who wish to complete their studies this summer semester can use the workshops, provided that all hygiene regulations are observed and appointments have been made.
In any case, please contact the workshop manager first by email. Describe briefly your project and the time required!
Pay attention to the hygiene concept of the HBK Braunschweig as well as to the current information on coronavirus.
The workshop
The screen printing workshop can be used by all students for their artistic projects. We teach traditional screen printing techniques for materials including paper, card, fabric, wood, plastic, glass and metal. Another special area of expertise is the creation of analogue and digital stencils, and how to clean and light the screen printer. The workshop includes two printing tables, a carousel for six-colour printing, a sealed-off cleaning facility, dryers, exposure lamps and computers and printers for processing photographs and creating stencils. This offers the potential for all sorts of printing projects, ranging from invitations, posters and T-shirts to complete graphic editions.
Courses
Students can learn the theoretical and practical foundations of screen printing, from the stencil to the finished print. We can also provide an introduction to the more advanced technical facilities available at the workshop.
Access
Students from all institutes can access the workshop outside of course times to work independently or under supervision.
